Intro to Fusion 360 / Making a Fidget Spinner

In my newest 3D printing video, I teach the basics of using Fusion 360 to design your own 3D-printable fidget spinner!

To make your own fidget spinner, you will need a few materials:

  • VXB 608 ZZ Bearings (available from Amazon)
  • 1/2 inch x 13 hex nuts or another weight for the arms (available from your local hardware store)
  • PLA filament for your 3D printer

Before opening Fusion 360, I used my calipers to measure the bearings and hex nuts. If your materials have different measurements or your printer needs different tolerances, adjust your design accordingly.

Bearing Actual (mm) Used (mm)
Outer Ring (diameter) 22.0 22.1
Inner Ring – outside (diameter) 11.8 11.4
Inner Ring – inside (diameter) 7.9 8.0
Height 7.0 7.0
Hex Nut Actual (mm) Used (mm)
Outer (edge to edge) 18.95 19.10

Watch the video to see how I use these measurements in Fusion 360 to design my own fidget spinner. Using the concepts in my video, you can create your own fidget spinner that looks just like mine, or even try making your own custom spinner!
